Information about cherry blossoms SAKURA at Kunitachi Ryokan, Yamanashi, Isawa Onsen
In Fuefuki-shi, Yamanashi Prefecture, where Kunitachi is located, cherry blossoms usually bloom around the end of March.
In 2023, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom on March 24.
SAKURA ONSEN STREET
Sakura Onsen Street is a popular spot in Yamanashi Prefecture where cherry blossoms bloom for about 900 meters. There is a promenade for easy walking, and the street is illuminated at night. Kunitachi is located in SAKURA ONSEN STREET.
Courtyard Weeping cherry blossom
You cannot see the cherry blossoms on the street from inside the Kunitachi, but weeping cherry trees are blooming in the courtyard of Kunitachi. The weeping cherry trees can be seen from the lounge and Arashi no Yu.
The best spot for viewing weeping cherry blossoms at Kunitachi Ryokan is in the guest rooms. All rooms at "Yamazakura" have a view of the cherry blossoms in the courtyard, and some rooms have weeping cherry blossoms in front of them.
View from your room
Fuefuki-city, Yamanashi Prefecture, is Japan's largest producer of peaches. You will see peach blossoms blooming in the city from early April, followed by cherry blossoms.
Peaches are cultivated across about 1,200 hectares in Fuefuki City, and it's said there are some 250,000 peach trees in the city. if you look out over the city from upland areas during peach blooming season, your field of view will be filled with a fantastic landscape colored be peach flowers.
It looks like a pink carpet, with the alluvial fan becoming a literal Peach Blossom Land.
